Hey buddy, how ya doing?

Thanks for your help in listing the different things Luke and his dad can expect when they try to get this ticket issue done!

More and more, I'm believing Luke and I ran into a "Speed Trap" near my grandparents farm. I'm going to phone grandpa and ask him if he knows about one. I've read in the newspapers and heard on the news police set these up during holiday time!

That's good to know my insurance won't be effected by this. I guess I should have drove back home, but it was getting late and my folks don't like me driving late, and I realize Luke's folks should be too, but Luke said he wanted to drive...so he did!

Then Mr. Cop and radar comes into play...

I'm glad I could be there for Luke, Steve. We needed each other. Scared the crap out of Luke and me. Not that we are afraid of police or us guys doing things we shouldn't be doing and watching for police to catch us, but when we two guys try to be law abiding citizens driving on the road, NOT MESSING around in the car, like some kids do and give us good teens a bad rap, then what can I guy expect getting pulled over by a copy and he says your speeding, etc. and wondering what is going to happen right then and there and later when ya tell your dad.

I was there for Luke helping him tell his dad. He could have done okay, but I see he wanted me there and I think it helped matters.

Luke took responsbility and although he's going to pay out of his own money pocket, I was surprised that his dad didn't want to give him a harsh punishment.

Luke thought for sure his dad would want to bust his butt good, but he didn't want to, but Luke asked him to just the same to make him "feel better", not that Luke need to have it done and his dad wouldn't do it.

Some people will probably call Luke stupid for asking for the paddling. I didn't thin Luke deserved one, but understand why he did what he did. I could see his dad really didn't want to paddle him, but once he did, he sure made Luke's butt red!

This probably sounds stupid, but I cried and it wasn't even my butt getting it!

Luke does have his own insurance he said, so I guess it will go up. Glad mine won't with Luke driving my car.

Never head of this traffic school before, so when Luke finds out about it, guess we'll both know and learn about it.

Hey Steve, you ever get a traffice/speeding ticket? I'm proud tosay the old JOEL has a clean record and its going to STAY THAT WAY!

Thanks for your help, buddy. I know Luke was sweating it, and I was too, and I didn't get the ticket. But there's something about it being night, your driving along...
SUDDENLY RED FLASHING LIGHTS FOLLOWING YOU...SIREN screaming and then Mr. Cop walks up to ya...WHOW! I hope I don't crap my shorts!
