Was it really lack of guts Joel? I bet like Dave was, it was more character than wus. Maybe after 2nd grade, idea of paddle scared you straighht. Dave was no wus as a kid & think his little ass should've been paddled--yours too maybe--for stunts overlooked. Paddle wood doesnt kill, just make your butt hurt awhile. Looking back, think you could've survived a fat lip or black eye in a fight or spanked ass as a kid?
