Thanks Rick; you're really playing the role of the voice of reason tonight; so far, you are 2 for 2.

You are right about Luke. He needs to chill out. However if it will make him feel better, I don't think it will hurt anything if Joel waits until after tomorrow's game to have that conversation with Kyle's dad. That way, Luke can rest assured that if the worst DOES happen, it'll be after the game and Joel won't be trying to play tomorrow with a sore butt.

I can understand Luke's and Joel's anxiety. Remember that it was only 2 weeks ago that Joel, Kyle and Sean had the day off from school as Seniors and Luke and Cody got caught trying to play hookie and join them and we all know how that played out. I am still amazed that there weren't additional consequences for Luke and Cody from the coach; perhaps another paddling, having to run additional laps or even being benched in the next day's game for that.

I don't think we have a thing to worry about, Rick. Joel is going to be fine. I think every kid gets cold feet the first time they have to confront an adult about something. And who knows? Joel might even feel like he wants Kyle's dad to heat his seat for all the times over the years that Kyle got it and Joel didn't. :D
