Hey big brother, hard to believe Christmas is almost here. I'm so glad I came to know you and David this year. You guys have helped me grow up more, and helped me get my first paddling from my dad, even if it took me l7 yrs.
What do you usually do Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? I realize probably open gifts and have a big dinner. What kind of dinner you usually have? Our family usually have an old-fashioned ham dinner with all of the fixins, and desserts of couple of pies.
What did you get David for Christmas?
I got Kyle a gift certificate to spend and a special jersey football shirt he's been wanting to get, but didn't want to spend the money.
As for me, Kyle says I have my present, the wooden paddle that my dad used on my butt Dec. 6 for the first paddling of my life. If that's my gift, that's my gift. I look at my friendship with Kyle as the best gift of all.
Rick I value your friendship as a gift, even though we aren't brothers I sure like advice you give, besides David. I know I didn't take your advice you wanted me to to tell right away on my grandpa, and wanted the paddling from my dad first, fearing I might not get one if I told about grandpa first, about all worked out and grandpa is getting help, even if he hates me and grandma to for the holidays.
Hey my other grandparents, my mom's folks I haven't seen for about 5 years, surprised me and have come to visit. My parents had them flown in and said it was gift from Santa. ALL RIGHT!
They'll get to see me play basketball for the first time as a high schooler next week when our team goes to the college for practices and games.
Hey Rick, took your advice and David and got my mom two gifts. I bought her some perfume I know she will like, you say moms like that stuff. Mom likes Country singer Faith Hill and she has a perfume and I bought my mom a bottle.
Also my mom was talking with a couple of girlfriends and they were thinking about after the holidays joining a health spa to relax at, so I got my mom a membership in that.
I would have gotten her some clothes, like you mentioned getting a neat sweater for your mom or mayb something for the kitchen, but thought my mom would like these items.
Got my dad a set of cool seatcovers for his truck he's been wanting to get, but put off, so now he has'em on Christmas Day for a gift.
Speaking of Christmas Rick, what's your favorite religious Christmas song and non-religious Christmas song?
While growing up as a kid, what was the BEST CHRISTMAS gift you ever got and what was the worst gift you hated getting? I'll about mine, if you share with me.
What's the best Christmas gift you ever got and gave to David?
I expect you and David left milk and cookies for Santa, what kind of cookies and did you leave anything for the reindeer? I'll share, if you will?
If you had the chance to buy me a Christmas present, what would it be? I think I know what I would buy you, but I'll hold off and tell you next time.
Do you guys do anything special to entertain on Christmas Eve and Day?
Merry Christmas, Rick and thanks for being a cool dude and Big Brother to me!
