(Kyle) Hey Steve, I have been trying to figure out why Luke did what he did to Joel, and saying "these guys told" him to get back at Joel for what he did for paddling him, and about Joel causing trouble and involving their dad's who decided to paddle Joel and Luke.

I don't know "who the guys" are and Luke won't talk, and let anyone talk to him very long. I tried confronting him at basketball practices and free time in school, but Luke is really being stubborn for whatever his reason!

We are going to give him a few days to think things through and maybe he'll come to his senses, as we are NOT getting anyplace right now with him.
If he spends time apart from us and not be included in things he ought realize that that isn't for him and come back to us. We welcome him with open arms, have NOT abandoned him, just letting him cool off!

I think both Joel and Luke's dad's over reacted and should not have paddled them or had them paddle each other for punishment, so don't know what they were trying to prove.
Joel should NOT have went to his dad to talk, but he did and made matters worse. I didn't know he was going to do that, none of my business, but maybe I could have stopped him. He still asks my advice on things and we try to sort things out like "brothers/buddies", but I do know Joel likes to be his own MAN too, so he made a wrong call to go to his dad. I don't know if it was guilt paddling Luke, but he never mentioned it and Luke really accepted it as the right thing to be done and even thanked Joel for doing it.
So I will do all I can to get Joel and Luke back together, and Luke back with me and Sean like before!
To bad this has to happen now, especially with Joel's l8th birthday coming up on Feb. l9 as Luke would want to be included in the celebration and Joel and everyone wants him to, including Luke's turn to birthday spank Joel, after Joel and everyone did it for fun for Luke's birthday last year!
So keep your fingers crossed, and if you have advice please pass it along to us.
Hopefully, Luke will see your message and come to his senses. He thinks highly of you as a friend, buddy and BIG BROTHER, too!
LUke has not been written off my anyone here! I know Joel would be heartbroken to lose Luke as a friend, me and Sean too!

(Sean): Hi Steve, I don't know how much more I can add to what Kyle has said, and suggestions from you that we referee this matter to bring LUKE back to our circle of friendship!
I want Luke back, can't figure out why he's want to leave us and even midjudge Joel! Joel thinks the world of Luke, and would do anything for Luke.
I guess Luke has forgotten how much Joel thinks of him. It was Joel who made the call for Coach to grant Luke the 5th starting position on the basketball team, when Coach asked Joel whom he would pick for the spot and Joel didn't hesitate to recommend that Luke be given the position!
There's other things Joel has done and would do for Luke too, but Luke is took busy listening to "these guys" telling him that Joel isn't a true friend to him!
I want to know who these "guys" are, too, but Luke won't tell. I wonder if there really is "guys"?
However we resolve this matter, it will be done with dignity, respect and wanting Luke back like he was before, like he wanted to be a "little brother" to everyone.

So Joel, Kyle and I will keep trying to talk to Luke and hopefully he will come around and return!
Thanks Steve, for all your help, and suggestions! You are a great buddy and "big Brother Brother" I respect and I know everyone else does too. We might get off the straight and narrow path, piss you off at us, but I guess we can think of it like this, your training yourself to raise 5 boys at your house, by trying to help four teen friends/buddies, little brothers miles away with problems that maybe your boys might have someday, but hopefully one at a time!

I was just thinking, with all that has happened over these past few months to us guys, I wonder if this could be made into a movie?
Nobody! Who would believe it and want to attend such to see a film. We'd have to call it like, "Nightmare On......
