Subject: IS JOEL IN TROUBLE FOR SHATTERING BACKBOARD IN GAME?

Hey Big Brothers,

You will see in the game information during our Quarterfinal Game on Tuesday, 3-23-2010 that I stole the basketball from the other team and slamdunked a basket. It was a routine slamdunk, nothing fancy, something to score points and excite the crowd. When I did it the glass in the backboard shattered and broke. The officals had to stop the game and replace it with another before game could resume!

I joked to me Coaches and team mates while they were replacing the backboard that I "hoped I didn't have to pay for a new backboard. Who pays for one?"

Nobody had an answer, and since then Kyle has been telling me that I'll have to pay for it, and when my dad gets the bill he's going to blow his top and going to paddle my little ass until I have nothing left to sitdown on!"

I told Kyle: "No he's not!"

Kyle says, "then who do you think is going to pay for it? You destroyed it, Joel!"

Joel: "But it was a routine slamdunk, Kyle!"

Kyle: "That doesn't make a difference, school districts are hard up for money, maybe insurance might cover it for replacement or maybe only half and your dad will have to pay for the rest of it. Let's face it Joel, your little ass is in for one humdinger of a paddling!"

I asked my dad after the game, before our team roade back home on the bus, "who pays for shattered backboard?" And my dad didn't have an answer, except he hoped he didn't have to pay for it!

My little butts in trouble, isn't Dave & Rick?

You guys are insurance men, who would have to pay for the new backboard? ME? Man, I hope NOT. Where am I going to get money for some expensive as that?

If you Big Brothers don't have an answer, could you ask your dad? It's been in the insurance business for long, long time, could you ask him for me?

It was just a routinue slamdunk, just like you see on TV for college and pros doing the same. I've done slamdunks before, BUT NEVER BROKE A BACKBOARD OR OTHER HOOP EQUIPMENT. Other guys on the team slamdunk and nothing destroyed!

I guess I'm the first, and my little butt is in troube, huh?

You think my dad will make me come up with the money and paddle my little butt? Should I start butt rubbing now?

I'm concerned, but my mind if not screwed up that I won't be FOCUSED to play basketball in the semifinal or IF we made it to the title game, but nobody has an answer for me WHO HAS TO PAY FOR THAT BACKBOARD!

Your insurance company have schools insured with ya and have this happen to them and you pay money for backboard replacement?

Man, it was kind COOL slamdunking, I've seen the re-play of the film me doing it, etc. and the excitement the crowd got. You would think with the 2-points that I scored to help the score cause it wouldn't be my fault that the backboard broke.

But I can see it now, like Kyle says, my little ass is going to get paddle by my dad and I'll have to come up with the money to pay for a new backboard when the school sends a bill!

Any comments or HELP from your two Big Brothers?
