That was my approach too. A detention note would go home; an opted paddling stopped at the school office door.

Yep, a few times going over the desk with back pockets of my levis emptied for 5-10 whacks with a drilled paddle. A red sting for sure but nothing like dad & bare.

After school so there was no excuse for missing class material & if a note went home, dad whupped my ass.

After age 13, it was dad's belt & bare & yep face down on my bed with drawers still down butt naked to recover.
