.:. He casually lifted his jeans from the bench and moved towards the hobo. One pale hand stretched out to snatch up the wrinkled paper. He glared over the headlines from yesterday before dashing the paper back down into the hobo's body. He had used this moment to space himself from Tarot. He needed to focus on her energy more than the words and thoughts she shared. He could sense an apprehension about staying with him. He could also sense that she felt that her options were limited. He glanced back to her and smiled as she commented about not killing her. He shook his head to indicate that this would not be the case. He had few hopes for a friendship but less for a murder.

He shifted his form away from the hobo, casually listening to see if he would wake. As Tarot unscrewed a gold ring from her hand, he watched with mild curiosity. He moved close enough that she was able to tangle her hand in his own and press into his palm the warm metal of her ring. He examined the delicate, immaculate circle in his palm. It wasn't an ordinary ring. He lifted it out with his opposite hand, watching the subway lights bounce and bend around it's gold edges. He slide it onto his middle finger on his left hand. It's simplistic design suited his taste and he looked back to the fairy with a slight smirk. "Well, first I should warn you that the guest bed is only a twin." It was a crack of a joke that he hoped would soon multiple into many among them. "We ought to depart into the darkness before anyone tracks you here and follows us home. I can't say Alicia and I are a match for your pursuers, but we can at least give you enough head start."
