My pursuer won't look for me with anyone like you. Do not worry for your wife's safety. Tarot stared nervously at the paper-covered man, her hands curling into fists. The air quality down here was terrible- worse than that of the Paris metro. Truly horrid. Tarot had breathed it in with a smile, ignoring the stinging sensation in her lungs. Cities were safe from her kind, usually. Most fae hated to deal with these conditions. Tarot's human side loved it.

But enough was enough. The combined pressures of the subway, her predicament and her unknown fate were going to overwhelm her, soon. She raised her ringed hand to her lips, kissing her fingertips and murmuring something under her breath. A small ball of sage green flame appeared in her palm. Tarot raised it to her mouth and swallowed it. The next breath she took was untainted. Ahhh, so much better.

I do clean, you know. At least she could do something. It was one thing to be a cherished guest; it was another to be a pity guest. And I'll limit my commentary so as not to scare the Missus. And censor all commentary about other children. Like creepy child.
