"I'm new to the city too, Bradley," she said his name as if tasting it. "But my cousin lives here too, sorry I bothered you." She opens her book again, watching him out of the corner of her eye. Finally, she is really able to get lost in it, just barely aware of the outside world so as not to miss her stop. She wasn't much of a talker either and was just trying to be helpful. Knowing someone in the city helped. She could make it on her own but she knew if she was ever really in trouble...
She shook her head a little to jog back to reality, it was almost her stop and she's had a enough of riding the subway today. She glanced briefly back at Bradley, he reminded her of a lost puppy but she had a feeling he would find that insulting. So she kept her mouth shut wondering if they would run into each other again.
