She’d been hoping Lucian would take the bait, in this sense, Tarot. Instead he sent another of his creatures to her and kept his eyes on them. Drat. Glancing at Ashena she gave a sideways glance. Did they dare split? One going to the cellar while the second towards Tarot? That’s right the blonde was going to attempt to ‘rescue’ Tarot, despite all her snippy comments the past few days. ”The dog. It’s got to be worth something special for her to bring it here. Need to get it.” Message sent back to Ashena, at least the girl had figured out she could communicate by simply thinking the thoughts. Though it was taking some strain on Alicia’s part to keep said thoughts cloaked from evil stepchild and directed only at her. She’d been still racking her brain for ideas when Tarot had come to with as much ruckus as a sorority after a football game. Wincing she watched the mixed blood woman stumble towards Lucian then climb on his back. She’d have love to stand there and watch the scene, but it was just the diversion they needed and it’d be short lived too. Grabbing Ashena’s hand, pleading her silence, Alicia rushed around towards to the side she heard no snarling and reached a delicate and trembling hand out to Tarot’s still obediently sitting pooch. “Good doggie. See your love master over there, she’s playing decoy.” She was whispering ever so softly, praying Tarot’s ramblings would keep her own words from being heard. “Find Zeth. Please.” She begged softly, the dress clinging hip and thighs, this thing was not meant for fast movement – she was surprised she hadn’t torn it yet.
The dog looked up at them as they flew over, it’s eyes had been on Tarot, though at the order, he jumped down from the stool and ambled off in a different direction than the cellar. Having puffed up in size, showing Tarot he could be macho too as well as to discourage the other dogs from attacking he lead them towards Zeth.
Question was would they make it in time.
