Hi Sharon

The companies here make a wooden crate for the pups to travel in. The boxes are made to spec with a metal mesh on the front for the pup to see out and holes all round to provide airflow. They will easily fit in an average estate car or small van or even the back seat of a family saloon. The crate has to be big enough for the pup to lay down and turn round in and I've found that they have plenty of room, but are snug enough for the pups not to feel too lost in. They have a water and food container attached to the grill to try to prevent spillage. You get to keep it when the pup arrives and you can use it again but not for long with a growing Boerboel pup! 2 weeks after arriving the pup won't fit in it anymore! No wheels I'm afraid and pup and crate will weigh about 15kg or around 35lbs. Quite difficult but not impossible to lift on your own, easier with two people though. Won't be long now!
