I found out that their first album was made in 1989, so it is (and probably will increasingly) be longer than 12 years. Recently I purchased another DC Talk CD that was made in the year 2000 (Intermission: the greatest hits). Like DC Talk’s Free at Last album, Intermission is one of the best albums I own, even though I’m not exactly the biggest fan of Christian music (the vast majority of my CD collection is secular). So apparently they’re still making cool music. Too bad I don’t here any of it on the radio. That reminds me, I just found out (the day I posted this message) that for a time the DC Talk song “Jesus Freak” was played on mainstream radio stations. The song first came out six years ago (1996), anybody remember it being played on the radio? Pretty much the only time I listen to the radio is in the car, and as far as that goes my dad listens to nothing but country music (and “Jesus Freak” is certainly not that). I didn’t listen to the kind of music I like until I drove my own car, and at the time “Jesus Freak” came out I wasn’t even old enough to have a driver’s license.
