Hi Wade, perhaps you or others can answer a question for me about ID.

Ok you say there is a creator. Ok fine let’s run with that for a second. How in all this reasoning do you get from an ID belief to a bible belief or a Koran belief of any kind?
ID= Jesus, and miracles, with no interim steps. ID=the bible is word for word perfect.

It is ok as I’m not implying that you think the Bible/Koran is word for word perfect, but what indication makes you think that ID=god hears prayers? OR ID= god saves, or ID=eternal life?

How do you make these big leaps in logic that connects an ID belief that this universe was created to a god that gives two craps about this earth or even has knowledge of its existence?

Just discussion is all not saying what you believe as ID is wrong or immoral. I would expect some kind of logical progression of thought to get from ID to ID hears prayers.
I constantly see these big voids in reasoning. Now proving a negative does not cut it. I can make the statement that 12 angels are what created this earth and universe prove me wrong—that is so vain, or a 10 eared dog made Pluto prove me wrong… statements can go on like that for ever limited only by human imagination in revelry. How ever it does show that (within this context) that ID is just an other statement of imagination—so it would seem.

I’m not asking (or telling) what you believe as ID=X as to your personal beliefs but rather how do you get there if ID means anything.

Take this for example as a premise….. Santa has a white beard there for Santa does not shave…does not show that Santa exists, but the logic is by far better than…. ID= bible god hears prayers. Santa is defined according to the story of a myth i.e. we can not confuse Santa with unicorns as a myth also. But ID could mean what ever you want as there is no exclusivity to ID and what it means, so it seems to me.

ID=Allah
ID= bible god
ID=Jesus
ID=Buddha
ID=I’m saved

Such a long list of statements with no exclusivity as to what ID did what.

To further complicate things as ID=X many people believe in a hell; by what indication do you think that Allah’s hell is any different than gods hell… what if you are wrong? Just because you believe---for example only--- there is an ID how do you determine what deity is the real one?

From my observations it seems people proclaim ID then go off on to their cultural god as if an ID statement as a premise is all the verification that they need.

Perhaps you have a comment Wade?
