Many people believe we are living in the end times and we
hear about the second coming of Jesus.
According to the Word Of God Jesus will come again.
But it will not be His second coming it will be His third.
Fact is that Jesus came to earth as a human being, that was
His first coming. The church teaches that He died and rose
again from the dead and He continued to stay here on earth
where He appeared to many people to show them that He truly
was the Son of God. It then teaches that in Acts 1:9-11
the apostles saw Him taken up into the clouds and then were
told that just as they saw him leave He would return in the
same way. So the church says that when He comes back it will be His second coming.
John 20:17 says, Jesus saith unto her, TOUCH ME NOT; for I am NOT YET ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Jesus told Mary Magdalene not to touch Him because He had not yet accended
to the Father.
Then in John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy HAND, and thrust it INTO my side: and be not faithless, but believing. He told Thomas to put his hand into His side
which means Thomas had to touch Him. Which means if Jesus
told Mary that she couldn't touch Him because He had not
ascended to the Father and He told Thomas that He could
touch Him, then He must have ascended to the Father and
now He was back on earth again. And there is nothing in
the Word of God that gives us any hint of Him being back on
earth after the apostles saw Him taken up into the clouds.
So according to the Word of God when Jesus returns it will
be for the final time and it will be His third coming.
Now I must add one more thing concerning not only scriptures
that point to Jesus next coming being His third but also
scriptures that could show that it will be His second coming.
There is not much discussion concerning the Word Of God
containing contradicting scriptures.
There is a scripture which contradicts John 20:17 which
says that Jesus told Mary Magadelene NOT to touch Him.
Mat 28:9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
Acording to these scriptures they touched Jesus and He did
not tell them not to.
This is one of the many problems that people have when it
comes to believing that the bible is God's word. For God
to say one thing and then turn around and say just the
opposite is very hard for people to accept.
I myself believe that Jesus next return will be his 3rd
but there is a chance that I might see something that will
have me change my mind.
