Subject: My Son danced p/o and open last year, he is more of a p/o dancer still but teacher wanted him to get experience in dancing opens to gain confidence, only one of the feises he danced a champ and was the only entry on the day and so "won" the champ and 2 solos and she said he couldnt then go back to P/o or dance the prelim that November as he wasnt eligible anymore.
In reply to: DM 's message, "Ive read the rules around Prelims but there are definately dancers not sticking by these rules and dancing the prelim anyway, how do they get away with it?" on Mon, Mar 10 2025, 17:12:16

and was now open for those dances, we assumed he'd be returning to p/o this year but the teacher said no as he continued to feis and "winning" champs were he was the only entry, so now he is out of p/o and prelims this November too and forever more. It was before his time i feel and i wouldnt have let him into opens had i known he'd be out of prelim and p/o as a result
