I should amend my earlier answer- the tapestry I mentioned is located at the top of the courtyard stairs off the North 'wing'- it's one of the purple and yellow ones. Cut it w/ your sword and it leads you to the beams in the throne room. Also the money room I mentioned only has 50 in loot and a key to the throne room, but with the floor being what it is, it's easier to pickpocket or blackjack a guard for the key.
