For almost all of us the first girdle we ever wore was borrowed/stolen /begged from a female family member.

When the time came to buy your own, where did you buy it?
Mail-order catalogue?
High end department store?
Middle level department store like Sears or Penny's?
Discount department store like K-Mart?
Women's clothing store
Specialty corset shop?


What sorts of things influenced your buying decisions?
