I was 17 and in an adult ward in hospital and was being prepped for theatre in the 1960s when they still gave pre-med injections. There were three other beds in the ward all occupied by older guys and I had changed into a gown in the bathroom and was waiting for next thing to happen.Two nurses came around with a small tray and asked me to turn over onto my front which I did opening the back of my gown and suddenly exposing me to all.They proceeded to prep my buttock and stabbed a huge needle into me which hurt like the devil and this was followed by a second shot in the other cheek and I just lay there a little teary eyed as they pulled sheet over me and left me to recover. I then suddenly realized they had all seen me get it in my bottom.

I received a b-12 shot at my doctor's office with an intern watching. It's a teaching facility, and I hadn't realized that this is common there. I had to drop trou and bend over the table for the shot, in full view of the student, who is about ten years younger than me. Getting a shot in the ass is nerve-wracking enough, and having an audience didn't really help the experience!
