Leah,
I'm familiar somewhat with clinical trials, having been involved in one that I remember quite well; where my rectal temperature was repeatedly taken over a number of days. For me, it wasn't embarrassing; though a three minute wait with a glass type thermometer inserted seems like a very long time, and I'd no sooner have my underpants back up, and next thing I knew, they were being lowered and the thermometer getting placed in my rectum by one of the study groups members. sometimes an MD sometimes a nurse or assistant, but none the less I got numerous rectal temperature readings taken; though I was well compensated, and I'd do it again if I could. But with you, what type of clinical study would you subject yourself to, where it appears repeated injections are given in your buttocks; and are they saline injections or are medicinal agents injected? I've never heard of clinical trials involving buttocks injections, unless it's in the case of a trial where long needles were injected into the skin, through the fat and into the muscle. This was a study done in Ireland. See attached: Vhttp://www.medpagetoday.com/MeetingCoverage/RSNA/2214 I believe this is also on You Tube. I've seen it. Hope you're feeling better.
