Subject: The 5 sites I want to share with you

Task 7
Recommend 05 sites to us, English teachers.

Give the site’s address and write a short comment
about it.

01_ http://www2.cambridge.org/interchangearcade

It is a very interesting site with many exercises that involve listening, reading, writing, and speaking exercises. Better saying it is a complete English course. This site was created to help those who study with the New Interchange book series from Cambrigde University Press. But it is easy to use and available for everyone. So it can also be used to fix grammar exercises, specific vocabulary and listening. If you do not use the New Interchange books you just have to select the exercises that best fit your students’ needs.

All the exercises on this page were created by Martin Holmes of the University of Victoria English Language Centre in Canada. In this site you can find a good amount of exercises from the beginning levels to advanced ones. It is appropriated for those who like studying by themselves. Although Martin Holmes advises the users of this site to look for an English teacher and ask for help in case of having doubts. This site is very reliable because Martin Holmes is a well Known and respected professional who he is heavily involved in developing on-line teaching and learning systems.

It is very hard to write about this free English as a Second Language website. It points for ESL/EFL learners who want to study English through the Web. When you enter it you get amazed by all you have there. Everybody can find English for any purposes because the site refers you to hundreds of other high-quality, free ESL/EFL sites and resources.

The entire site is amazing to work with kids and teens where they can learn English and math. As a teacher you are able to create accounts for your students, track their progress, and view a rich assortment of reports showing you just how much they are improving. The lessons are set up well, the screens are motivating and fast moving, and the topics match the standards. The students can practice the skills daily, and because the site provides feedback, students are able to correct their mistakes and master the concepts easily. The breakdown of specific skills that correlate with grade level, the easy user interface, and the correct explanations with illustrations for the answers to each question can be enjoyed for everyone.

5_ http://www.englishexercises.org/

In this site you will find hundreds of exercises to learn English online: vocabulary, grammar, listening, songs, etc. These exercises have been made by English Language teachers from all over the world. Learners can use them to practice English and teachers can join the site to help it be better every day.
