Subject: Why the emphasis on South American's?

Don't you think it is time to be a bit more diverse? I hope I don't offend anyone but to be honest Miss Venezuela is way too over-hyped and Mexico needs a lot of work. Pictures can be so decieving and presenting some 18 yr old teenager all painted up is too much of an illusion! Puerto Rico may be another casualty of over-hype as well. Not to mention the curse of being the host nation. Cyprus and Trinidad both missed top ten as well! This is not a slam against her as a person but minus all the makeup, her face is nothing speacial! It would be unfair to all the candidates to suggest that the top ten will be comprised of at least 5 latina's or South American's just because they seem to be the norm for this pageant and the host is South American. Actually I think Finland, Yugoslovia, Canada, and Korea to be much better in appearance than Venezuela, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Colombia as well! I'm a bit tired of hearing the argument about India being so favored simply because India dominates in pageantry. I think this Miss India is going to bomb bigtime! I am leaning towards either Finland or Canada as the winner over all!
