I believe your fear of salty roadways is a tad paranoid but, just so you REALLY freak out... do you know how bad "acid rain" is. And it doesn't even have to rain on the car in order for it to begin taking its toll. Why, right this minute, your car is being reduced to a rust bucket sitting in that garage with air circulation.

Come on, even Howard Hughes would occassionally risk walking from his bed to the bathroom.
