I live in canada (ontario and have owned 2 Ford LTD Crown Vics a 1988 and a 1984

I've seen that the frames on these cars do go and the rust can extend to the very back of the car my 1984 had from the front wheel well to the forward of the rear wheel well rotted right out, Otherwise the Engine,Powertrain and body were was in really good shape One problem repairing these is that the rocker sills are right beside the outer part of the frame and also a place where the salt does the nasty work and i wish there was a way to repair them when the frame is rusted there, I have found the Passenger side of these frames go first.andif there's little rust watch it,
Also the rocker pannels go as well on these cars.So if you are considering any Crown Vic look closely at the frame.
