Might want to go easy on the compression as well as going easy on Ed Sanow. Sanow's book references the factory specifications for the PI from Ford directly. Facts is facts as they are printed from Ford. My interpretation of this is that it is 202bhp for the PI at the rear axle not at the flywheel as that was some regulatory or insurance requirement (doing a raw efficiency calculation for a drive train setup means the 202bhp at the rear axle is about 270 at the flywheel-8.5:1 compression too). But we talked about this before in previous posts. When your vehicle is done I'm sure you will provide the timeslip and the hp rating of your car... I will be comparing that with mine too. I know that there are still a bunch of misconceptions of this vehicle since no official testing was ever done by the noted police authorities such as the MSP and LA Sheriffs office. Hopefully, we'll be able to show legitimately what these cars actually do.
