I mean, I like the Dodges, I especially love the 69 Polara, and would trade my Ford for a 69 Polara!! BUT facts are facts.. The guy at the track, that I did my 1 pass along with was in the TOWER lane driving a 96 Caprice Classic 350 LT-1 (with some mods) and he ran a 15.6! So I don't see what you guys are crying over..cause I just barely beat him... The Pro's at the engine shop told me, that it has 9-1 compression and special heads for unrestricted air flow! and easy 350 horse to the flywheel~! I guess I should add that the Province I live in doesn't have any Emissions laws yet (fingers crossed) so most of us racers/cruisers DONT run any restrictions (cat converters) etc. Yes I have highway gears 3 to 1, and Yes its slow off the line, But once she hits about 25 MPH, she hauls ( screems to) 65 then hits a wild second, then third then a 15.4 at I believe 90 mphs... Big deal my 91 Mustang back in the day ran a 13.9, and My buddies Mustang runs 12's (heavily modified)! DAMN the Hondas (ricers) are runnin low 16's! You guys act like I'm setting new land speed records LOL... Dodges (440) I heard, run low 14's... Must be true, yet a guy here has a 440 PI in a charger and his best ET was 14.9, GO FIGURE... BUT the PRO rebyuilder told me cause of Gas and emissions... He also stated that all the HI-po cars of today are only runnin 9-1 compression, and pushin 4-500 horse... He says with proper work on my 460 I can get 900+... But i'll be happy with 300 to the wheels ABOUT 30 MORE THAN I HAD BEFORE.
