If Volusia County SO has a public information officer or office, you may want to contact them. Or you can become a
volunteer, posse member (if they have one), or reserve deputy, and then go from there. Once you are affiliated with a department, it will make it easier to get answers as doors will open to you. I heard that blue lights and the Florida Highway Patrol paint scheme are illegal down there.
