They toss high and low score in each category. If she had say seven judges and received 10,10,10,9,9,10,& 8 in talent from those judges they would toss a10 and an 8 for a total of 48 in talent. They do that in every category. They don't throw out a complete category ever. You get a score in every category. I would think she has a very high score in talent every time . With low scores in the other categories which is why she doesn't win or place. The purpose of throwing out the high low is so that if you did happen to have a biased judge either for or against their scores would not count towards the girl positively or negatively.
