I just think that it is so costly and time consuming. At some point you see, that the crown might not be in your future and bc of the enomorous cost of competing- some of it unnecessary- you start to realize that this is really not a great investment to compete year after year. It isn't being a sore loser. It is a reality that costs are out of control. It's too expensive not to spend the money it takes to really compete~ and locals are struggling to put on the pageant much less offer a prize package worth much. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

Not to mention the one director in teen (John) is so hateful and down right nasty when you start asking about all the fees. I'm sure not everyone knows, MKOT is a fundraiser for Miss KY. MKOT does not get to keep money to help fund the pageant. It all comes from the girls' production fee, and people who generously volunteer their time. Where else do you suggest the money come from?
