Date Posted: 21:07:32 02/25/14 Tue In reply to: Just curious 's message, "Would someone be totallyhonest and say how much it costs to do state at both the miss and teen levels? Include all outfits please, as tho you are addressing a newcomer. Thanks!" on 23:35:57 02/24/14 Mon >Please be honest :) Last year as a teen we spent 200 on talent outfit 80 on interview dress 60 on interview shoes Forgot how much that fitness outfit cost but lets say 75 and 30 for white tennis shoes 250 for interview prep 700 for gown 100 for gown shoes Talent lessons are a wash because she does the talent regardless of pageant or not. Hair and makeup I don't really count either because she would do that anyway as well. The interview dress she has worn numerous times as well as the shoes. She has worn her gown 4-5 times also. Entry fees to locals are usually 100 or so and then it depends on how many you enter to win one. Production fees for teen were what 350? Last year Then there were the tickets to the show which were about 60 pperson for the three events. Travel to and from the pageant and stay in the hotel I can't remember 200-300 for all that. Head Shots originally were about 300 We were happy with her placement. So this year we will not purchase a new fitness, or talent most likely. She will get a new gown probably and we will invest a bit more in one this time I think but not sure. We are willing to spend a bit more and potentially sell it later. We may get a new interview dress but have several choices in our closet that we are happy with right now. Probably won't do a whole lot of interview prep since our director is good about helping with that. Mostly it's up to you what you spend on the big tickets like gown and talent and interview coaching. I do think on some level a nice gown shows well and helps some but it won't win for you. I do think the notion that a jcpenny gown is fine is a bit exagerrated too. A nice high end prom that fits well and looks good on the girl will be fine. If you have the money and want to do a custom go for it. It's fun and the girls love it and heck they are beautiful. Hope that helps [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

| I would say all added up from local on up at least 4 to 5 thousand. Not all on gown, thats with a nice 1500 dolllar gown (NT) | It all adds up fast. No way to get out of spending it. | 23:38:12 02/28/14 Fri |
