Why are people just now making a big deal. Plenty of girls competing have these things, I just think you all are blowing it out of proportions. If they can take it out and cover it up, build a bridge and get over it." on 10:54:33 12/30/13 Mon If I'm judging a pageant that has no ruling on covering a tattoo or body piercing, and I find out the contestant has covered it up, then I'm going to score them lower for giving off a fake image. I'd rather see a contestant be true to them self than hide what they think other people want to see. Sometimes this type of contestant is very well trained and will also answer interview questions as to what they think a judge wants to here and not necessarily what the contestant believes. I personally don't care for body art or facial piercing but I applaud Miss Kansas for being who she is and making that statement at Miss America. She is true to herself.
