Subject: This isn't the place to debate homosexuality. I think the original post was commenting on the response of the girls saying being gay is a sin when George was their director or their current director is gay.

Her post was referring to a verse in Leviticus about unclean food- the New Testament and Peter's vision in the book of Acts shows that after Jesus, all food was considered clean. No more rules against shrimp or requiring kosher food. Maybe instead of cherry picking verses to back up a personal opinion, we should consider the Bible as a whole and realize that some things about the Old Testament no longer apply. The Bible is full of contradictions and many are used to support ideas held true by some people. Similarly, statistics can be manipulated to support almost any proposition. What is really important though, is to show respect to one another, regardless of the differences that exist. Mutual respect among people can lead to better understanding of the differences that separate us- which hopefully may someday become our strength. How boring would this world be if we were all the same? (NT)No name16:17:34 01/01/14 Wed
