Subject: First of all let us buy our own opening # outfit or let them wear what every girl would already have. I think that would cut the cost almost in half. and YES i have had several conversations with Jon and I have thanked him for what he does and he turns into a negative nelly in every conversation I have held with him

In reply to: 's message, "So, what do you think is a reasonable cost for an opening number dress, production costs (facility, stage appointments) and motel room (contestants and emcees) for 2 days might be? Think about it? We will have to agree to disagree about Jon. Have you ever thanked him for all the volunteered time and work he provided for your daughter- or just confronted him about the cost to compete?" on 13:25:21 10/16/13 Wed

Agreed. Jon is way too obsessed with the production and overall just isn't a very pleasant person. The opening outfits are unnecessary as well as fees for a specific photographer (NT)like miss the teens should only have a housing fee to pay14:18:40 10/16/13 Wed

The production fee goes to renting The Center, hotel rooms, opening number outfit, the sound engineer and stage staff. I'm sure not everyone knows, MKOT is a fundraiser for Miss KY. MKOT does not get to keep money to help fund the pageant. It all comes from the girls' production fee, and people who generously volunteer their time. Where else do you suggest the money come from? (NT)Grateful for the MKOT program20:46:50 10/16/13 Wed
