I respectfully disagree with the poster regarding closed prelims and new contestants. closed prelims are an exce;llant way for new girls to get their foot in the door. Especially those who did not compete as teens. They do not have to compete with those who have held multiple titles over many years. I agree!!! I think closed pageants are awesome! I'd like to see more locals in general....I think Miss Kentucky has been getting stronger and stronger each year. We have never seen such great bodies at state, we have VERY strong talents to choose from, and a lot of girls are so well spoken!
