She can >barely do a pushup This is a very silly statement. Clearly by a mommy of a singer who did not advance. There were three singers in the finals, Caroline, Talia, and Alexandra. Two cloggers Haley, and Abby, Two Pianists Laura and Molly, Jazz/lyrical four dancers MyKayla, Olivia , Harper and Kyle. One tapper Bailey. It was not a dancers judging panel. Laura was the best that day she won in fitness and talent and has a killer interview. She was just bested at Nationals. Laura is a good candidate but think KY could afford to send a talented girl with a bit more of a glam look. The last three MAOT's and the top fives of those competitions all had talented girls in the end but also very very pretty too. This is where KY needs to improve. We send wholesome looking girls but not necessarily the most beautiful. If we have a girl who is decent in interview, talented and very pretty that is who we need to send next year. After state interview can be improved looks and talent can not. A girl can also tone more if she is a little off not a lot but if she is naturally pretty and talented she has the best foundation to build on unless we have a girl who is already all of it to begin with which KY has not had yet. But lets begin at home by welcoming back the girl we DID send and who worked her tail off to succeed. She deserves our support and our praise for her efforts instead of feeding her to hungry mommies bitter their daughters who sang did not win.
