Cindy I was thinking about you, Kellie and my friend Rebecca in Dallas all weekend. Unfortunately I have been really sick and we had a funeral Friday for my Great Uncle and tons of relatives in town. So the short periods of time I was home I slept! I am calling Kellie today when I get home from work (although Garrett pointed out that if something had happened she would have called, which prompted ME to point out that if a piece fell on her house she would NOT be able to call!) Our newspaper showed the debris path and her town is in that area! I am glad you are okay and safe. I feel so bad for the families. I know it is a risk they are all WELL aware of when going in the shuttle but still... This one has taken many flights. God Bless everyone.

Yesterday Kellie had said that debris has been found as close as 3 miles from her house now. That is amazing to me! She also said that her uncle was watching the shuttle through a telescope and was on the phone with a buddy. Well, all of a sudden he told the guy, "I think it exploded!" and the guy, of course, thought he was joking. And Cindy, when she had said she heard it too all I could think was that due to both the speed and the distance from earth there must be quite a large radius of people who could hear it!

I'm amazed that no one on the ground was injured by falling debris! I saw one thing on TV where some pieces of the shuttle had gone through the roof of an office and landed right where someone would have been sitting if the office had been open. Yikes!

Yes Ann, I have been thinking of that also. I am so amazed too, at the wide path that the debris has fallen. It just seems so unreal how long the debris stayed in the air, and how far it spread. I was looking at the radar on Saturday, and was just in Awe of the long line that was showing up. I liked President Bush's speech on Saturday, where he was saying that "The Astonauts didn't return safely to earth, but we can all pray that they made it safely home".I also believe that the Good Lord was watching out for all of us below.
