Subject: Laura & Almanzo and the Rock House
In reply to: Pat 's message, "Trip To LIW Home" on 19:24:39 06/10/02 Mon

I was thinking about Laura and Almanzo moving back to *their* house after Rose left. My thoughts are that THEY built that house the way THEY wanted it - and while it was nice of Rose to build the Rock House for them with all the modern conveniences, it is my feeling they never thought of it as *home*

Hi Jennifer,
I think that was exactly the feeling they had. I believe I read somewhere that they missed farm life and the Rock House just never felt like home.
