After consultation with my supervisor, we agreed on 'Vanity conquers all?: Pioneer Women and Clothing c.1840-c.1900'. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.

Less than a week to go now. Am aiming to get my dissertation finished by tomorrow night, as I have to get it to the bindery - but I've still got to edit out about 4000 words... and incorporate some feminist theory. Argh!!!
