Subject: A question about the new LH movies

I can't remember what the name of the new movie was, maybe something like Beyond the Prairie or somesuch, but I was just wondering if there wasn't going to be a Part 2? Has it in fact been made, and did I just miss seeing it on TV? (Then again, considering what a joke the first one was, maybe missing Part 2 isn't such a hardship!)

I apologize if this topic has already run its course here (and bored everyone silly), but I don't have more than 5 minutes right now, and that's not NEARLY enough time to peruse previous posts! Thanks much.

Yep, you missed it. It was something to see alright. The movie really sucked. It could have been worse, but not much. The funniest part was the handyman they hired. He was "taking the place" of Almanzo. Almanzo was sick in bed (from his crippled leg), but Laura had the hunky handyman to fill Almanzo's role.

I cannot WAIT to hear your reactions when you FINALLY see this movie. LOL

Huh? Which little figment of truth did they stretch THAT from? Or did any little event like that even happen in real life? Guess if you're making TV for the new millenium, you gotta make it spicy, eh? Gimme a break though. That's a little too much.

Is it on DVD or VHS yet? Maybe I could rent it if it's already been aired on TV. I sure don't think I want to be BUYING it!!

(Who played the role of Mr. Hunky Handyman?!) ;-)

I think in real life they did hire someone to help on the farm (or a few people) but I don't know how good looking they were. I think I remember reading it somewhere(but where right now I don't know) I may be wrong though. I just got home from work and having 28 third graders going psycho with Halloween made me a little crazy.

They did hire that man who came upon L & A's wagon. Remember, he was in need of food for his family. Almanzo ended up giving him some of their food. I'm not sure if this was true, but it was in the Rose books. This guy in the tv movie was single, not married like the "real" handyman.

Nope, not on video yet.
