could you be anymore right! The reason we keep the theory of god around, is because people are weak. They like thinking that there is someone there watching them, helping them, making sure they are okay. And they like thinking that if they are good, they will go to a better place. They cant except the fact that we have this life, and when it is over, it is over. And they have been reaised believing in god, so they just keep believing. Why would there parents lie? Well god is the easterbunny, santa clause, and Sammy. He is just a parental unit staring at you from above saying "do it, do it and I will fucking spank you." (great movie!) But I am glad that people believe in god. It brings them happyness, it lets them want to live on. A world of no faith, would be a very scary world. If there is no god, why not sin? why not kill? why not do whatever you want? Even though we dont need rules to start a race, we need rules so the race will survive. And what better way to control people, then to tell them that if they dont listen, they will burn and suffer for the rest of eternity?
