- Think Castle jumped out of the car when he realized he was a target. The announcement for next season said something to the effect "... Join us next season as Kate and Richard continue their life solving mysteries...." At least that sounded encouraging -- what would the show be without our other handsome Canadian? Ending this storyline does make me worry, though, that they aren't looking at renewal. They've had their best ratings season yet, so I would be surprised to see it end unless Fillion wants out.

- Love it too great wrap up to an amazing arc. I am pretty sure going to get renewed but earlier when filming they migh have wondered. Also they are having a cliffhanger in season finale so pretty postivie they knew getting renwed. They still have 3xk story to wrap up and could also introduce a new bad guy. - I didn't like it. I didn't like the way the skirt was attached. Maybe if the skirt had gone all the way around it would have been better. And it kind of stuck out where it attached. It is one of the things I want to know, how many times has Kate called Castle by his name 'Rick'. I know we got in in Still and I hear it occasionally so this is challenge 1....

When watching a rerun, if she calls him RICK please post the name of the episode and the scene.

Next challenge to to catch who buys who coffee, what season and is there jealousy. I read in some fan fic that when Castle seems to be straying, Beckett buys or supplies his coffee and when they are at odds, they get their own. Otherwise Castle is getting hers. So challenge 2 is to see if you can catch Kate being possive and providing Ricks coffee.

The season ender -- Code, 11:54:29 05/14/13 Tue [8]
After sleeping on it, I am okay with the episode, kinda knew what was coming at the end.

I think if you take 'Still' out of the season and leave with what we have had you can see the pattern of Castle backing off all the way back to Hunt. Its minor but its there that he is slowly taking her for granted and that she has started things. Castles brithday being the one big thing she did for him that he showed appreciation for.

I think the final she stepped back and decided to look at her life and ponder where she wanted to go at 33. She knows her moms killer, she has reached a point in her job that she is maxing out at unless she promotes up and loses the part of the job she loves, she has a man in her life that she loves but he isnt showing interest in more. She reverts back to the part of her that she understands and knows. The closed off Beckett. I did like that she went to her girlfriend and dad for advice. Both gave her opinions and at the end of the day she went with the one that has always been there, the Job. Castle has been there but her job has been there longer.

At least Castle said he would follow her and that he wants more. I see her not saying no, but not yet and as a JAG fan I HATE THAT. I think that they will take a step back and then by mid season commit and be a stronger pair. At least that is how I would write it.

And I love Martha.

We got a great season of fun and romance, and yet still some angst. Given the last few promos that ABC spliced together that put them at odds with each other in contrast to the actual episodes where there was no huge personal conflict, I don't trust previews anymore! I have more faith in the writers of this show than almost any other, and while conflict will come a move to DC for her if she would choose it wouldn't be a deal breaker for him. He can write from anywhere and if he wants to stay at his new York place she's a hour commuter flight away. Big deal!

- I saw the CTV promo and it looked better than the US one. I see them having a heavy discussion on where they are going and us being left with what were the answers for the summer. I dont think that we will find out if she leaves or not till Sept along with how their relationship fares. Personally I would write it as they temporarly seperate and still work together and finally by mid season getting back together with the the big proposal coming sappy enough during Feb sweeps (NT) -- Code, 09:15:21 05/07/13 Tue
  - I just can't see why if seperate they would still work together don't forget Castle is not a cop. If have a falling out with the person you are in love with why keep working with them if don't have too. An episode or two of issues is about all I want need them happy and having fun and teasing. - After seeing the scene released yesterday I can see where Castle is getting semi-pissed. I dont think that its the new job but that she is keeping things from him and going back to its my life. I am not saying that Castle isnt innocent because of his stunt of running off to Paris alone but I also think that going to save yorur daughter trumps job interview. I can see her taking teh job but coming back in an ep or 2 in S6 as if the summer has passed and she rethinks the job. Her and Castle have to reair their relationship because Gates let him stay on and follow the boys. I can now see where Squab needed to be after this episode. I know, I know its supposed to be a stand alone but my mind while drifting off came up with this.... Kate had at least 5 minutes of alone time, again to ponder her death and what the consequences of it might be, and during that time she realized that there was more that she wanted from life ie more with her relationship and where her future was going. So we get Squab where Castle seems to see things as status quo and she needs reasurance that things are going forward.

I loved loved Captain Gates, she was great and I would really like to know when she figured it out.

Also did Javi look a little puffy in this ep?

Just needed more build up to her feeling that uncertain especially after this episode at least to me. Maybe if she had tried to talk to Castle and he didn’t want to then maybe can see it. I have to say that as a fan I was highly dissappointed with last nights Episode. IN all honesty, the show was on and I muted half of it and another quater was spent watching Revolution.

I feel that there no lead up to this 'where are we going', 'you dont appreciated me enough' and Becketts interest in another man. I get that yes they are heading somewhere but why make it this angst filled not needed episode?

I am hoping that "Still" will have the shipper scenes we are used to and hopefully fill a void for why we got last night.

Any other opinions?

This episode was simply amazing; I'm not sure I still have enough words for it yet. I thought they handled the issues at hand absolutely perfectly!

There was so much worry among fans particularly with Kate possibly believing he may have cheated, and the implications it may have on their relationship - and yet we get to see our favorite couple stronger than ever, sticking together instead of divided, the full extent of their trust and belief in each other.

The scene where she finds him in the library, and runs into his arms was so strong, so loving, and one of my very favorites though definitely not the only one.

I also loved the many different small things twined throughout the episode that are important moments from episodes previous, the first time she cuffed him and the breaking out of prison etc.

What are your thoughts, what were your favorite moments?

- I am loving every episode. I laughed out loud over Casket. I don't mind the interruptions because you know they are together, unlike H and M where the interruptions were frustrating and long term. They never got the chance to enjoy their romance, or to have fun with each other. Every moment of the C & K romance....the looks, the gestrures, the banter, the serious comments, is delicious. They are having fun and are excited. I'm glad we are not seeing constant kissing. I don't want it to get old hat. I know they said in some interview that Alexis wouldn´t really react to C+Bs relationship at first, because her father has had many girlfriends, but that she´s have to acknowledge it at some point later on, still it all felt disjointed, somehow. And then the dolls..seriously, there was so no need to smash them, anything that was in there had a way of going in, so there was a way of getting it out again. - There were SO many good one liners...getting soft, seen your stuff, grammatical error, it went on and on which really made the episode so enjoyable. The handshake scene was so touching and you could see their minds creating a great image. I really wasn't bothered by Alexis' reaction. She was so busy getting ready to go to scholl and that father/daughter talk at the end brought tears to my eyes. She loves her dad. No monsters under the bed...so cute. - Hmm, I didn´t really see him fighting her off though...sure, he was evading a bit, but at no point did he put his foot down and said, "no,I don´t want this, please leave." Now I really don´t like this kind of sexual predatory behavior either, but I wouldn´t go as far as calling it assault, not in case of a man doing it, either. - Hang on there, Castle did not say no at any time. He kept making excuses, but all he had to do was say, "Not intersted.". Let's face it, it could have stopped had he said no to the date in the first place, like Beckett wanted him to. The over the top agressive sexuality was funny because Castle was never in danger of being raped, forced, or abused. It also helped them catch the murderer. - Actually, I took the whole thing in stride. I loved so many of the quips like "take off my shirt again, no car pooling, no coffee for Beckett, secret romances, etc. that I really didn't let the aggresive scene bother me. Yeah, I wish he had declined the date, but we have to remember he said he wasn't involved with anyone and he thought that answer over based on keeping the secret. - It was amaaaaazing; I stopped breathing about halfway through when Beckett went BAMF and whoa! I loved how she turned it around, took matters into her own hands. And I most loved her progression - this woman who now does her job for her own reasons, who took matters into her own hands, *and* who now allows herself to be vulnerable with and comforted by Castle. Castle S1 Thoughts -- Hope, 09:43:11 08/20/12 Mon [2]
Just finished re-watching S1 of Castle.

Forgot how Castle really was like a 9 yr on a sugar rush. Touching everything and not taking things to seriously. At the beginning he really didn't get the gravity of the murder s for him almost like he wasn't seeing it as real more like what he would write in a book.

But as it goes along you see him change and realize not a game. He sees how it affects Beckett and how much compassion she has for the victims. Feels like he comes to realize helping to give closure to the families.

I am glad we see him interact with Alexis and Martha during this time or he would have come off a just a playboy who took nothing seriously.

They did a nice job with his growth and the parallel to Alexis growing up.

Loved seeing the beginning of the banter and the theory building. Beckett was always attracted to him but she would never have thought of dating him as he still had a big ego and didn’t take things seriously enough. Watching this all unfold and see how they both changed is so much fun and just makes you realize how great a love story it is.

When she Kate tell him about her mom and dad want to scream don’t investigate. Never would have thought how big the conspiracy was going to become.

On to S2.
