The storylines lately have been excellent. I'm really impressed by these writers. And I have faith that they will handle the show with the leads *together* just fine.
Kate seemed a little unsure or hesitant or something when Castle asked her about her intentions with their relationship. I'm assuming that might be a possible thread to explore in later episodes, especially since we haven't actually heard her tell him she loves him yet. Just wondering if they are leaving some doubt there on purpose. Or maybe she was just surprised that he would ask? Maybe she thought she had made it clear and his question caught her off guard?
If I had been directing, I wouldn't have closed those elevator doors quite so fast at the end. I would have kept the camera on them just a little bit longer so we could see more of her smile and more of his reaction. Not long, maybe just a second, if that. The way the doors closed just seemed so sudden, like the end was cut off. Maybe that was intentional, but seeing more of their smiles would have put a bigger smile on my face, if that's possible.
I'm looking forward to seeing them try to keep this a secret, and I'm looking forward to each person finding out in time. Should be a fun ride this season!
