PJ, your future as a minister is assured with this kind of message for your congregation. I know, as a parent, that after I have spanked one of my children, the matter is completely over after the last spank is given. My child is then forgiven, and his tears are wiped away, hugs and kisses are given, and he is assured that he is very loved. After he has recovered, he can rejoin the family having paid the penalty for his "crime." When all is forgiven after the spanking, he is once again a complete member of the family.

What a great way to explain the value of a spanking, PJ! Thank you!

Thanks for explaining! What you said makes sense and I'm going to try to remember it like that. I get spanked a lot and Dad says I must have a short memory and he doesn't like spanking me but thinks I need it. I always thought of it just as punishment but not promise or peace and I never would have thought like that. Maybe if I do I can avoid the paddle better. I hate it but then I forget.
