Subject: There is a book by William Goldman who judged Miss America the year Gretchen won. It is titled “Hype and Glory” and since no one mentioned it, it may have been forgotten by people on this board. I believe the book discusses the selection of Gretchen that year In an honest manner. It is not a flattering account.
