Subject: I'm afraid it's going to be quite the opposite, from what I've heard. Some local directors are fed up with the leadership problems, the rising costs, the fairs/festivals fiasco, and the lack of contestant pool in the state. Getting harder to do, with more expense always being added by the MVO.

In reply to: 's message, "I 100% agree!! They put the work in. I am hoping more locals come back to va as some of these directors weren’t even at the state pageant for their girls. I am hoping next year we see the support these girls need to prepare and be successful at the state pageant." on 15:01:19 07/03/25 Thu

You are correct as there will be more volunteers leaving. New leadership is working overtime to give the impression that everything is big and better when in reality, it has never been more sad. They lost some incredible people who would never have left unless things weren't dire. One in particular, Dr. Nancy Dye who owns the home where they have hosted a welcome dinner for years. She was on the board and her exit should speak volumes as to the truth of all that has come to light. The path new leadership took to get rid of many who left was deliberate. And those who resigned and left on their own accord were never contacted to ask why or try to convince them to come back. They only want to surround themselves with people who fall in line and agree without discussion. It is one sided and in no way serves the purpose and traditions of what Miss America once was. Any state having struggles such as this do not need to go swept under the rug. Keep talking and looking for answers. (NT)In VA and beyond
