Subject: Right, and if she would’ve quit you would be on this same board calling her undedicated and a waste of the title. How old are YOU to be spending time on these message boards saying negative things about a young woman. THIS is why MAO is failing.

I can understand putting up with just about anything to finally get to the Miss America stage, but that was 6 months ago. Why didn't she come home, quit and get back to her real life instead of choosing to waste half a year being unhappy? And, if the titleholders were being so abused why the heck didn't the 14 year old teen's parents get her out of that toxic situation?

Well, perhaps wrongly, but in my mind if she had quit she would have made it perfectly clear why she took that action leaving no room to criticize the decision. I fully support women who refuse to tolerate disrespect in any form and I think that goes for the majority of posters here.
