| Just want to also say that I watch many, many state pageants. I've watched 7 or 8 this year alone. Miss NY is, by far, the worst production I've ever seen. The MCs (former Miss NYs) aren't great, but even worse is the horrible stage. It's completely black, you can't see anything. You could barely see what their on stage topic was. The opening number was incredibly low energy. I've seriously seen high school productions that were more professionally done. I'm very sad for NY. A state that should have no problem finding good production talent. It should also be noted that Miss NY only has 23 girls. This is less than the majority of states, including Miss NH.
