I have heard three totally different stories…at this point in time ALL are unverified and just speculation, in my opinion. First rumor is that she failed to meet the residency requirements. That rumor is based on the fact that she lives and works in Washington, D.C. My question is how did her residency requirement go unchecked by both the local and state boards before Miss New York was held? Second rumor is that her paperwork was fact checked and falsehoods were discovered in her information. Not sure the origin of this rumor or who outside of her local executive director and the Miss New York BOARD HAD ACCESS TO fact check her paperwork. Last rumor is the auditors made a tabulation error and incorrectly gave her name as the winner. My question with this rumor is why make the incorrectly crowned woman resign so publicly instead of being transparent and admitting the error by the auditors. (NT)No name

    She held a spring internship. She did not move to DC full time and lives in NYC with her boyfriend. What I heard from reliable sources is the board doesn’t like Mina and didn’t want her to win, so she was bullied out of the role by the PTB. (NT)No name
