Subject: I so miss the days back in the 1990s & early 2000s when we knew the dates/locations of the Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, & Miss Universe Pageants in advance. Like clockwork, Miss USA was always held in February; Miss Universe in May; & Miss Teen USA in the summer (if memory serves correctly.) Sadly, it is all such a mess these days & I just hate that it somehow has come to the dire situation that we have here now! Subject Author Date ....Well we knew of those advance dates and locations of Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen-USA shows because the host city locations were selected far in advance and CBS then later NBC needed dates for their prime-time programming schedules. Pageants of the 1970s to 2015 were not organized in a matter of four months let alone four weeks. Once CBS became part owner, they moved the pageant to February and May because that was when ratings determined advertising $$$ for the network.
