Subject: Back in the day, MUSA and MU were partnered with CBS and the pageants were held in May and July. Once CBS became part owner, they moved the pageant to February and May because that was when ratings determined advertising $$$ for the network.

That's right. In the 1970s, Miss USA was in May and Miss Universe in July. CBS switched to Feb/May during Christie Fichtner's year. (NT)No name
